About Concord Kindergarten

Concord Kindergarten was officially opened in 1966.

We are a community based, not for profit kindergarten providing high quality  early childhood education.

As we are a community based Kindergarten, we are run by a Management Committee, comprising of parents that are selected each year.

The Kindergarten is open during school terms only.  Children attend on Monday Tuesday & Wednesday (3 day group) OR Thursday & Friday (2 day group).

The hours of the children attending are;

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday - 9:00am – 3.00pm. (Pick up by 2.45pm)

Thursday/Friday - 8.00 - 3.30pm (Pick up by 3.15pm)

School terms are as per Department of Education

Both groups are a mix of 4-5 year olds and programming is the same.

The Kindergarten offers a play based program that is individual for all children.  We also have a music program and a sports program that are run by outside trained Educators and Coaches.

Staff offer families a welcoming and caring environment that encourages children to learn life skills.

The Kindergarten has 40 children attending per day and we meet all Department of Children’s Services Regulations.

The Directors  -   Emma Perrott (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday group)

                                Keely Powell (Thursday/Friday group)

who job share the role. Both Directors work Wednesday to ensure continuity of practice in the Kindergarten.

The Kindergarten also has a trained Additional Needs worker who facilitates those children with any additional needs.
